Adventures of a novice beekeeper

Things have gone pear shaped at the Prestbury apiary this week. Readers, the queen has done a runner! A new queen cell was found suggesting supersedure was taking place. A virgin bee emerged but had to be dispatched quickly before we put in the new mated queen received from the suppliers ....and  I thought beekeeping would be easy peasy!
